After installing Windows 10 I get the following error message when ever I try to run GoPro Studio or HP Support Assistant:
parser returned error 0xC00CE556.
I tried reinstalling HP Support Assistant but got the same error and I think the reinstall failed.
I tried renaming the config.machine file and coping the machine.config.default file and renaming it, still same errors.
I checked for Windows 10 updates, to make sure my PC was up to date, Windows Update had frozen on 45%, so I fixed that, updates installed, reinstalled HP Support Assistant again, still same error.
Any ideas out there, I'm frustrated to say the least.

I had the same issue until yesterday when I stumbled across someone with same issue in a Steam forum. The URL where I found the solution is at the bottom of this post. Here are the instructions I've typed up.
PLEASE READ: THIS SOLUTION WORKED FOR ME AND SEVERAL OTHER PEOPLE; HOWEVER, CHANGING SYSTEM FILES IS ALWAYS RISKY AND SHOULD BE DONE WITH CAUTION
1. Open file explorer and find the file location
( NOTE: Windows will prompt you for administrator privileges. Just select "Yes" on these prompts.)
copy the CONFIG file and place a copy on the desktop or wherever works best for you. Because we will be deleting a system file, I like to have the original just in case something goes wrong.
and delete the machine.config file
3. In the same folder should be a different file named machine.config.default
( NOTE: Windows may prompt a warning about changing file types while renaming the machine.config.default file, just confirm the prompt and continue.)
DONE! Right after I moved the new file into the CONFIG folder I restarted Puush (program I couldn't run due to the error) and the program started successfully. Hopefully this solution works for everyone else.

after I first upgraded to Windows 10 things were fine. But here we are a few weeks later and I am having some issues. One of the programs I use frequently has stopped working. Originally I thought it was the program itself having issues, so i tried uninstalling then reinstalling. I keep getting the same error message.
parser returned error 0xC00CE556
Can someone tell me what this means and how to fix it?
Ive also noticed that I cannot open some of my apps. Does anyone know why this might be?
Any help and advice will be appreciated. THIA

Enter.

Ok I've done all the steps here but once I restarted my laptop I have a newer problem. I can't get in. It tells me to "please authenticate using your Bluetooth security tag". I have no idea what this is. When i choose my account icon I don't get the option to enter my password. What do I do now?
