Network connectivity lost vmware что это
Typically, I use VMware Workstation every day running work VMs and performing other testing. I also troubleshoot VMware Workstation for other users as well. From time to time, I have seen issues with VMware Workstation network connectivity either in Bridged or NAT’ed configuration. Oftentimes, problems present in the fashion that VMs boot and show to be connected to respective networks, however, they have limited connectivity. If DHCP they fail to pull an IP address and static simply has no connectivity. What I have found in troubleshooting VMware Workstation network connectivity is that often the builtin networks get corrupted or due to misconfiguration or altering by end users they get deleted. There is a simple way to get things working properly in VMware Workstation. Let’s take a look.
Troubleshooting VMware Workstation Network connectivity
When looking into networking issues with VMware Workstation that can’t be explained by OS network misconfiguration or some other obvious network configuration problem, we can use a builtin mechanism to reset the network configuration in VMware Workstation. This is to set the VMware workstation networks back to defaults. This will add back the NAT adapter and other builtin adapters that VMware workstation installs out of the box. Most often, this process will correct issues with the workstation install or network issues due to end user “monkeying”.
To get to the screen to reset your VMware Workstation network settings back to default, navigate to Edit >> Virtual Network Editor and you will be presented with the Virtual Networks screen. Down at the bottom left hand corner, simply select the Restore Defaults option.
Note This process will take some time as you see VMware Workstation iterate through the various networks that it will recreate.
Thoughts
More times that not, when troubleshooting VMware Workstation network connectivity, this process will resolve issues that can’t be explained by an OS configuration problem or general network failure. Please note also, this will wipe out custom networks that you may have created as well, so keep that in mind in thinking about resetting the networks to default. In my experience though, it usually saves time to reset and then recreate your custom networks that spend all morning or afternoon chasing a weird network issue on someone’s VMware Workstation VM.
Lost connectivity to the device в ESXI 5.5-01
Lost connectivity to the device адрес луна backing the boot filesystem.
Disconnect.

Yes.
Lost connectivity to the device в ESXI 5.5-05
We are getting this error every few minutes and not sure how to fix it. We have reset the port that the cable is plugged into, we have rebooted esxi host and even unbind the adaptar since it is on our development network. Not sure what else to look for.

Could Not Connect
vSphere Client could not connect to «IP Address». An unknown connection error occurred. (This request failed because the remote server took too long to respond.
- жмем на ссылку open the vmware host client

по итогу выскакивает окно с ошибкой: «vSphere Client could not connect to «ip-address». An unknown connection error occurred. (The request failed because of a connection failure.
— переустановка vclient данной версии;
— установка с последующей переустановкой vclient предыдущих версий, а мало ли вдруг )));
— попытка подключения к серверу через web-морду;
— проверка групповых политик в AD;

What virtual network adapter are your VMs configured with? I've seen weird issues with E1000 adapters. I'd recommend changing them to VMXNET 3 if they aren't already.
I had a issue with the VMXNET3, Reinstalling the vmware tools resolved the issue (because this reinstalls the drivers)
I've had issues where I'd reboot a VM and the NIC wouldn't connect upon startup. I'd remove the NIC and re-add it and it would then connect. Haven't figured out the issue, but come to think of it, I think the vmtools are out of date on some of them.
Are you able to ping your gateway router when you lose connection? What does the routing table look like when you have problems? I have seen similar issues and the problem has been resolved after resetting the TCP/IP stack: " netsh int ip reset" in a cmd window. Note: This will reset your IP settings, so make note of them and prepare to lose network connectivity until you restart and reconfigure the NIC. I would also recommend a VMware Tools re-instal if you are using the VMXNET adapters.
Are you running 5.5 Update 1? There was a glitch in the vmnic drivers that was fixed with that release.
Under Resolved Issues then under Networking Issues. There was a bug for disconnects with the VMXNET3 driver and a bug for a PSOD with the e1000 vmnic driver.
Personally I had good luck with switching my troublesome VM's to vmxnet2. Also had to go back to 5.1 Update 1 on one host with a high-traffic VM because of lockups regardless of which virtual nic type was used.
We are running 5.5 update 1.
We have had problems with VMXNET3 in the past, and would like to look into other options first. We will keep that in mind.
We are opening a ticket with VMware. I'll update as I get more information.
VMware suggested making the change to VMXNET3. We have taken steps to try and avoid the problems we have had in the past with that adapter.
Thanks for all the suggestions.

I would check the hardware. We had that issue and replaced the NIC. What server is it? Try updating firmware too. Or reseating the card.

Also don't forget to check/replace the network cable(s).
We moved all the VM's to another host and started pulling the cables and found the nic it was on never had a clean connection even though the light was on. The error messages went away.

Glad you got it sorted out!

We have had a few of our VMs randomly lose nework connection. There does not appear to be anything wrong at the server, but cannot PING in or out. We had been rebooting, as it was hapening after hours, but we had another one today. After looking through the logs, and not finding anything, I disabled and enabled the NIC. That was enough to reset the connection.
All the servers have been Windows 2012 (not R2). We are running ESXi 5.5. VMware Tools are up to date. I cannot tell if it is a Windows networking issue, or a VMware issue.
Any suggestions on where to look?
