Нет image sequence sony vegas

Hi VideoHelpers
Having a BUNCH of PNG sequences to import as media into Vegas Pro, I'm trying to create a script to help me deal with this time-consuming operation.
Maybe some of you have more programming skills/experience than me and can give me a hand with this one.
So :
I try to use AddImageSequence() to import several images sequences from several sub-directories to my vegas bin project.
I managed to tell the script to find every image sequence but i dont know how to use AddImageSequence() class into my script.
Here is the script :
When i try to run it, vegas displays this error :
 Erreur 0x80131600
\import_image_sequence.cs(58) : Une rfrence d'objet est requise pour la proprit, la mthode ou le champ non statique 'Sony.Vegas.MediaPool.AddImageSequence(string, int, double)'
Could someone help me ?
Thanks !

An "Image Sequence" is a sequentially numbered set of images rendered as such, not "a bunch of random images". I think you mistake the specific nomenclature of the term..
You have been "Hoist by your own petard".

Budwzr is correct. Most NLEs import image sequences by having you direct it to a folder, point to an image (that happens to have friends, all sequentially numbered, with your original as the beginner of the sequence), and just import it. Some require that you specify then that it is the first in a sequence (checkbox), some will figure it out automatically once it sees the like-numbered friends in that folder.

You can use a free tool like FastStone Viewer to copy and auto rename you're desired images to a single folder. You can name them like image0001, image0002, image0003 and so on. You'll then be able to import as image sequence into Vegas.

That's a good tool to know about. I got in a jam once that I stupidly renamed a stack of images using Windows Rename. There's no way to fix that without a tool like this. I'm gettin it.

@budwzr & Cornucopia :
- I do know what a png seq is, and i was indeed talking of a number of files named xxx001, xxx002.jpg etc..
- I also know how to import a Png Sequence in Vegas, it is like u said : select the 1rst image et tick the "import sequence" box.
what you guys didnt understand, is that I got a bunch (o lot) of thoses sequences to import, and . to do that operation over 500 times wasnt a viable option to me.
hence i went for the "script" alternative, to automate the operation.
And i can post the correct script if you're interested.
Thanks for trying
@racer : I did consider to rename ALL of the files to a single import , but it would have made a sequence way too big (500 seq x 100 images : at least 50.000 pngs. no thanks !).
. also, that wouldnt have been very practical as with this method, you cannot separate different takes. (good luck for the editing !)

That's odd to me, because StillSeq's are usually a way to preserve animations you want to reuse or pre-comp. So they don't usually relate to other sets of StillSeq's.
So that's an odd workflow for me. That's why the comments.
P.S. The thought just occurred to me that you may be making a showreel, yes? That IS a legitimate workflow, hahaha. Egg on my face.

Actually, i'm editing shots from an animated movie, so the workflow is kinda big, ( multiple teams are involved. )
Animation team sends shots to Background team, then to the fx/comp team. etc.
So they name/sort out all scenes with a strict asset code/number, for each shot.
I get the png seqs from the compositing team, and i then have to reimport all thoses multiple shots, keeping the numbers (if possible) to make my editing easier.

Ah-ha. That sounds crazy. Why don't they just put each scene in a 32-bit single file? Has to be PNG stills? In 32-bit format you can still edit frame by frame and maintain Alpha.
Vegas supports QuickTime Animation format in and out, AFAIK.

It is kinda crazy, but not that odd in that type of production.
Why pngs?
They (comp team) are used to work with png-seq, not only for "final" exports, but also for all the "wip" shots, giving the fact they all work in AE and they sometimes get "retakes" from other teams, etc. or even switch shots between collegues ( ).
Not very interesting, but you asked ! And thats the way the studio runs, lol.
Anw, I don't get what you mean by "32-bit format" single file ? U mean a movie file ?
I guess i could ask them to give me material in Prores or DNxHD, or any virtually lossless codec, but hey, it would make them double the time of rendering, which they dont have. (time is money ! )
So I stick with the PNG seqs, and now without spending all my time importing manually, thx to the script
I can import an image sequence easily, however not able to render out an image sequence.
Can you please provide instruction as to how I can get the Image Sequence Render As option?
Here are my options. Filters Off and Image Sequence should show above MAGIX AVC/AAC MP4

Like before no idea, but can you share here a screenshot of your total interface at the moment you click the render as. button?

@SLVideo Hi, i know you've tried the links above, did any require you to delete all from
Disk (C) - User - yourname - AppData - Vegas Pro - 19.0.
Delete everything in that file, Vegas will take a bit to load when you open it again but it will rebuild all those files.

Thanks Gid, but that did not work either. Here are the screenshots. First one shows the contents, second one shows it deleted, third one shows the result (still no Image Sequence) for the Render As.
I acquired Vegas Pro 13 as p[art of the Magix Email sale. I would like to render to an Image sequence however I cannot find image sequence on the Render As Page, Output Format.. Has Image Sequence been discontinued with Version 13?
You'll find it in the first option in "Output Format", there you select wich extension (jpg, bmp, etc) your image sequence will be.
Even after reinstalling It is not there.
The First option is:
>MainConcept AVC/AAC (*.mp4*.avc) followed by
>MainConcept MPEG-1 (*.mpg)
I even uninstalled and reinstalled.without issue.
I've had no problem exporting all formats including image sequence with Adobe Premiere CC2015 but I would like to someday cut the cord to the subscription.
I do not have any thing checked. Sadly Sony no longer supports Vegas and redirects all questions/concerns to Magix and Magix does not have Vegas on the List, on their questions reporting page so it's impossible to ask tech support.
"You might have to use the scroll bar to see the whole Render As dialog box."
Look at the state of the More Filter Options link to the right of the Output Format Menu option. Uncheck everything for now.
At the bottom of the Render As dialog box, check View All Options to expose anything checked that might filter your options.

But still no image sequence export
Now I try to reenable the >NET 3.5 and get this
I've read in that thread of yours that nothing should be downloaded. I'm trying to avoid some irreversible changes as well. Any further step?
That's the Microsoft update, we all got it, so you should make a restore point and install it.
Since Vegas 18 does not use 3.5, it will be transparent. I've only seen sporadic reports of problems with the 4.8 update. Calling the render dialog in VP14 seems a bit slower, but of course I can't be sure.

It's not there for some reason.

Do you have vegas pro? Maybe it's not available in other versions
A workaround is to use debugmode frameserver , to frameserve a "fake" AVI , and use vdub2 to export png sequence (file=>export image sequence)

I suggest in the future that you use the Vegas Help feature. All you have to do is press F1, like any other Windows application.
Here are the help directions, copy/pasted directly from the Vegas 13 help system:
==================== Saving a still-image sequence
Opening a still-image sequence is simple just use the Import Media dialog but what if you want to create your own still-image sequences? No problem.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
1. If you want to render only a portion of your project, create a time selection and/or solo the tracks you want to include in the still-image sequence.
2. From the File menu, choose Render As. The Render As dialog is displayed.
3. In the Name box, type the base file name you want to use for rendered images. Files will be numbered automatically using this file name.
4. In the Output Format box, double-click Image Sequence to display a list of image formats and click the image format you want to use.
5. Select the Render loop region only check box if you want to save only the portion of the project that is contained within the loop region. Loop Playback does not need to be selected for this option to work.
The check box is available only if you've created a time selection in the timeline.
6. Select the Stretch video to fill output frame size (do not letterbox) check box when you are rendering to an output format with a slightly different aspect ratio than your project settings. This will prevent black bars from appearing on the top and bottom or the sides of the output.
7. Select the Use project output rotation setting check box if you're rendering a rotated project and want to use the Output rotation setting from the Project Properties dialog for your rendered file.
When the check box is cleared, the media is rotated according to its Media Properties setting, but the project itself is unrotatedyou can use this setting to proof your project on an unrotated display.
8. Click the Render button. A dialog is displayed to show rendering progress.
When rendering is complete, you can click Open Folder to open the folder where you saved the files.
