Yes I had 4.5 fixed a while ago but my problem was I cant enable 3.5 from Windows Features anymore and it has been messing with alot of my programs, like desktop version of Skype, tried using the win8 app for Skype but it's designed really bad.
First use the command "sfc /scannow" to check if your OS is correct.

Maybe you should first read before complain.
sure thing snowflake, I do read mor@n win 10 has the same issue. Perhaps you should read before you think you're cool again. Don't reply to my post please, unless you got some intelligence to bring to the table, thanks.

Can you fucking fix this persistent annoying problem instead of answer a fucking rooster like a retard. So many games that can't be played because of this incompetence. Tried all solutions and nothing works. Everytime I click the error code it takes me to this thread so obviously the solution is going to be here. And if not, then fix it with an update.
It is obvious that backwards compatibility is the issue with Win 10. Maybe the Devs can fix this, instead of getting snarky comments from you mods!

I'm posting this as it took me two hours to figure this out,
First I thought it was WSUS so I removed it from the Reg, I still could not install, even took it off the domain, still no luck.
Since this is a VM I still had the media installation media on D:
I copied the entire D:\sources\ folder to C:\Source, verified Admin has read/write access to it.
ran this line from Powershell with admin rights: dism /online /enable-feature /featurename:netfx3 /all /source:c:\sources\sxs /limitaccess
then it worked, if I ran it from D:\sources it would fail
hopefully it helps someone

Yea funny such a question in 2018. However, probably you are not from Belgique because in that country people know that to get an English message from French they can use Google Translate.
However, this question is from 2014. Therefore if you have this problem, create the same question new in a French forum. If it was a real problem which could have been solved by the OS then Microsoft had done that.
This works for me! thanks!
Has any solution come from this error? I read through the posts and nothing here works.

If someone else has exactly the same issue as you, then why shouldn't you use theirs to save a shed-load of typing? Especially if you're translating from your native tongue to English (or should I say American?).
If the thread included words like aluminum then by all means edit it to correct the spelling into English, with the correct word/spelling, namely aluminium.
I tried your solution, as per your rude note posted January 18th 2018. It was a little light on detail, and some key points were sketchy at best, or otherwise totally skipped over, so it didn't work. Can't imagine why!
Right click command prompt and select run as administrator
Type:ren c:\windows\softwaredistribution softwaredistribution.old
and then press Enter
Type:ren c:\windows\system32\catroot2 catroot2.old
and then press Enter
now open start and type troubleshoot
click on troubleshoot windows update
close troubleshooter and restart
if that didn`t work .
open start and type recovery option
Go to advanced startup and click on restart now
click on troubleshoot
click on advanced option
click on startup settings
press your F4 key
Delete all the content of this folder
Now restart and your problem should be fixed.
I have been fighting with this problem all day. The fix is easy:
Open an "elevated" command prompt and past this line:
DISM.EXE /Online /Add-Capability /CapabilityName:NetFx3~~~~
People like you crack me up. You have brought absolutely zero to the conversation and its likely because you know precious little about anything to start with. So you talk crap thinking it makes you sound intelligent when truly if you had any intelligence you would realize that this is how the world sees your type of behavior. Maybe you are ten years old and dont understand this and if so go tell your mommy that you need a time out and get off your computer. Clearly you are in need of practice when it comes to interactions with others. I am 49 Years old and I have been in front of a computer since the age of twelve. Regardless of the DECADES of experience I have all up and down the OSI model I STILL learn from people that have not one tenth of my experience. I am smart enough to know that i dont known everything and that everyone is significant. Even petty creatures like you. Also everyone needs help at some point. You are a fine example of what I hope I never become so even your ignorant a$$ has something to teach after all.
I love this line "If it was a real problem which could have been solved by the OS then Microsoft had done that. " First off you find yourself advising people to use translator while you post such mangled English? Wow. Do you have ANY idea how many bugs and holes exist from pre-windows95 and dos code that they have been dragging along for decades? Down to even the way that you password is stored in memory. I can get in to ANY account on ANY version of Windows in under 1-2 minutes. and I am being generous. Really its more like 30 Seconds. So no hero they dont necessarily fix everything if its an OS issue. They are a business. If one person has an issue (Or say fifty or whatever) do you think MS is going to apply a million dollars in resources to fix that issue for the person or few persons? No. Only if its going to effect their bottom line. Btw. how do you think they find these issues? From people reporting them so if everyone took your attitude then nothing would get reported and people would wait for this OS fix that MS isnt even aware of. They can also gauge the scope of the issue so its very helpful to post or message regarding your issue irrespective of how old the OS is.

It only happens when the computer is idle, not while I am working on it, I usually get around 25 messages if I have not been on the computer for a few hours.
When I attempt to install >NET Framework 3.5 I get an error message that it cannot be installed.
The message I receive:
The following feature couldn't be installed:
The system cannot find the filre specified.
Error code 0x80070002
I am using Windows 10 Home

Thank you for contacting Microsoft Community.
We understand the inconvenience you have experienced.
Now try to install the game to see if it works fine. In case problem still persist, then check installation by taking your PC to Clean Boot state.
A clean boot is performed to start Windows by using a minimal set of drivers and startup programs. This helps eliminate software conflicts that occur when you install a program or an update or when you run a program. Follow the below mentioned steps to perform Clean Boot:
a. Press Windows Key , t ype msconfig in the search box, and hit Enter.
b. On the Services tab of the System Configuration dialog box, tap or click to select the Hide all Microsoft services check box, and then tap or click Disable all.
c. On the Startup tab of the System Configuration dialog box, tap or click Open Task Manager.
d. On the Startup tab in Task Manager, for each startup item, select the item and then click Disable.
e. Close Task Manager.
f. On the Startup tab of the System Configuration dialog box, tap or click OK, and then restart the computer. Now see if the message still appears.
If a service is causing issue, I suggest you turn on 5 services at a time, reboot and then see if the problem reappears, keep repeating this until you find a group of 5 services, which are causing this issue, then check the one by one, till you find the one which is causing your issue. Perform the same divide and apply for Startup's too.
Refer the below article on " How to Perform Clean Boot ". As the article is designed for Windows 8.1, Windows 8 and Windows 7. Unlike launching step for 'System Configuration', options and steps to Clean Boot are same for Windows 10.
Note: After you finish troubleshooting, refer "How to reset the computer to start normally after clean boot troubleshooting" from the same article.

Welcome to the MSDN forum.
So basically people are supposed to continue to ask the same question over and over and over and over again, just in a new thread. Why a new thread? Same question, same problem, no one is getting any actual help. I feel like your grammatical style suggests English is not your first language. Are you fully comprehending that 1000's of people are having this same issue?
Thank you for your update and sorry for any inconvenience.
Since you already tried the above methods, please have a try with the following to troubleshot this issue:
2. Since you have not the system disk, please have a look at this similar issue, if you are MSDN subscriber you can also download the Windows 10 Features on Demand ISO, mount the ISO. If not, please download it from Download Windows 10. After that, re-run the above command again.
3. Check this issue, and back up the registry table, then update the key: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\WindowsUpdate\AU folder. DoubleClick on UseWUServer and change the value to 0.
If this issue persists, please collect and share the installation log files like I said before, thank you for your support.
Please try the solution from the blog below.
- Go to Start-> Computer

The reason for your computer receiving the 0x80070002 Error is due to it not having all of the files that should have been transmitted when updating your software. This is an initialization error that occurs after files have been downloaded, and extracted to the computer.
Run the Windows update troubleshooter and check if the issues can be fixed.
1) In the search tab type 'Troubleshooter' and hit enter.
2) Click on view all.
3) Click on Windows update and follow the onscreen instructions

I have completed everything suggested above and am receiving the same results.
So I know there are already a ton of post about this topic. But here's my issues:
1. Sims 3 incompability with windows 10
So again to my question should I spend the time and money to continue pursuing this problem, should I return to Windows 8, or should I just purchase a new computer?
