Horizon zero dawn не работает геймпад ps4
In this tutorial you will find steps to make x360ce work with Horizon Zero Dawn. This method also works with any game – just do the same easy steps, no special skills needed to make any controller work as an Xbox 360 gamepad. Emulator allows your controller (joystick, wheel, gamepad, etc.) to operate as the most common device, recognized by most of the games without any additional settings and workarounds.
1. The first step is to download x360ce zip file from official site. You have to select 32 or 64 bit version (same as the version of Horizon Zero Dawn you use). If you don’t know the version of your game or download wrong one accidentally, you will be notified later and have a chance to use another version.
2. Now we have to find the installation folder of your game. You can easily do this by looking into game shortcut settings or finding the game in your Steam library list. If you choose the Steam variant, right click the game name and select “Properties”.
3. Navigate to “Local files” tab and press “Browse local files. ” button.
4. Now you need to find the folder with Horizon Zero Dawn executable. In the example picture they are located in Binaries / Retail subfolder. You need to extract downloaded x360ce ZIP file to folder with your game executable file.
5. Click on x360ce exe file with the right mouse button and select “Run as administrator” from dropdown menu.
6. You will see window with warning – “xinput 1_3.dll was not found. This file is required for emulator to function properly.” Don’t worry, just click “Create” button to make them appear.
7. When x360ce will inform you that new device was detected, use automatic search for settings from internet – just hit “Next” button.
8. Click “Finish”, when installation completed.
9. Hit the “Auto” button to make all settings set to defaults. Confirm changes by clicking “Yes” in popup window. All the buttons will be filled automatically.
10. Now just hit “Save” button to make all your settings saved. You can also change buttons assignment before hitting “Save”, if you like.
Now you can normally launch Horizon Zero Dawn and use your controller with x360ce emulator – it will be starting automatically with each game launch.

Ive been trying to figure out how to use PS4 controller in this game but no luck still not working. Already changing ps4 support for steam in the setting and switch it off still didnt work. Any idea?
If you want you can try a software that i use called Ds4windows, it emulate a xbox controller. downside is while in game you see xbox controller button and not ps4 button.

I was using a PS4 Controller with the DS4 App, which works fine in an of itself. Unfortunately the game crashes every time I try to save it since then.
So, I would advice against it, basically. Official support for the Dual Shock will probably never happen. So either use the XBOX Controller or stick with M & K.
Even if the PS4 controller is off and DS4 closed, the game still crashes at the campfire. Am checking out right now how to fix that.

It works wireless or wired, I'm using it since day one. Just check the box about PS4 controller on Steam Big Picture. You don't need to use third party software, if you are using maybe it's causing conflict idk but the game already has full support for DS4 and Xbox One controllers.

In my case those crashes seemed to have started the moment I started trying out the DualShock with DS4Windows. It's probably just corrupted manual saves then. Strange.

Nice, now enjoy it.
I don't see a good reason to use DS4Windows anymore, it just emulate x360 drivers to make DS4 controller works like a x360 controller but Steam Big Picture already do that nowdays. A good feature on DS4Windows is be able to see % battery but I'm fine.

I just Switch on my Dualshock 4v2 and it works! 😉 As in all other games on Steam.
If you have game on Epic, you need 3rd part software 😛

No needed, if he/she has on EPIC I believe that adding as a non steam game and check the box on Steam Big Picture will be enough.

True. If you add the Epic launcher to Steam, and launch Epic through Steam then any game launched through Epic will use Steam controller Support.

plug it in, go to steam settings controller setup and select the option for dualshock 4 in the steam controller config popup. it opens in a separate window, with the big picture color background and not a normal settings sub window so you'll know it once you find it. also accessible through right clicking the game in the library.
looks like you have it on epic, so add it as anon steam game. sucks to have to run two launchers for it, but you might also be able to use the ds4windows forks (the forks are still being updated, just don't use the version last updated 2 or 3 years ago) and get the game to read it as a 360 controller which also lets you use it in bluetooth mode for certain games that have issues with it in bluetooth evenw hen they detect it as dualshock 4 plugged in
Just get something like one of these:
I use my switch pro controller to play games and it works great. It converts almost any modern bluetooth controller to xinput to work on PC.
Those just emulate the PS4 gamepad as a 360 gamepad. Something which free programs can already do for you.
It looks like that.
Nothing does that without problems for the switch pro controller, I was using them before and they caused me a lot of grief. I had some luck with the steam one but even then.
One cheap $20 plug in play option that works across everything without ever having to mess with it is always nice.
Though if a PS4 specific one exists and that is primarily and only what you plan to use, yeah I would go with that for sure.

I have the first one, while it works it will emulate the controller as Xbox360 type. I even contacted the support and they said it was done correctly. Have not tried the second one. If it can emulate the DS4 controller properly then yeah it could be good.
Otherwise you want the Official PS4 Dualshock bluetooth adapter. It has gone up in price so look around if you can find it closer to you.

Well, why does it matter? Everyone keeps saying that like it's a huge deal, it still works just fine, does it show in games as X instead of A or something when you use the adapter? I mean I've never had a problem with controllers that it ever caused much of an issue.
I looked up that dongle and it costs as much as buying an entire new controller for just the PC, what does the official dongle do that makes it worth that much higher cost?
If you can plug it in and just play with no fuss immediately does it really matter?
works fine also with DS4 controller. Been playing for few days now with fresh install win10. Yes I hate win10 but does work fine. Has been more than playable for me, with few minor issue.
PS4/Pro of HZD is still better experience imo.. HZD pc port is ok, playable but not without few minor issues/floating tree/odd graphics glitches. Nothing major but annoying at times.
I blame dev for using bloated DX12, which should never been used. Vulkan api would been better imo, PS4/Os has nothing to do with DX12. So of course there be some graphic issues/sound issues.
PS4 has nothing to do with vulkan either. It uses its own custom API.
The ♥♥♥♥ are you even talking about?
Yes PS4 uses a custom Low lvl Api or High Lvl Api. Depending on what the dev choose to use. Ps4 OS is custom (Sony) Linux OS. Porting everything over to work under windows/Dx12 is/has shown that that port has "huge issues". That proof is that HZD has huge list of issues mr asshat.
Floating object/trees/Npc/flicking graphics issue and many other problems, because the native game was design run under custom ps4 Linux os system. Sound issues with odd volume levels /sounds cutting in and out and/or not even playing correctly because it's using bloated DX12 Api.
Porting to Vulkan api would been a lot better choice,Detroit being human is proof of a port done well/ Done correctly. Another PS4 exclusive.
you want more proof asshat? ok here.

" We use AMD’s Vulkan® Memory Allocator and we have been very happy with it. "
Conclusion
The port of Detroit: Become Human to the PC was a great experience. The Vulkan® version of our engine is much faster than the OpenGL® version.
We still have a lot to do to improve the engine on PC. For instance, we want to explore the render graph approach. This will help us to improve barrier management, asynchronous shaders, and memory aliasing. "

I have helped/been part of game development, as an ex-beta tester/tech help guy/ex moderator from small steam indie dev team. I learned a lot about game development. While i'm no dev myself, It gives me small peek of game industry and better understand of it.
А у меня вообще игра в упор не видит геймпад Logitech F710( Хотя все остальные игры нормально.
У него же поддержка X-Input
Есть какие советы?
ReXSniper
С геймпадами через Xinput решать проблемы только через эмуляторы по типу 360се и прочих. большинство игр не видят геймпады Xinput
Groowy
