Сбой при выполнении анализа after effects 3d camera tracker
One of the most common problems that people encounter is that the 3D Camera Tracker ‘just does not work’. You import a piece of footage, throw the 3D Camera Tracker onto the clip and then you get the following error message:
There are 2 likely reasons for why that is happening!
The Camera Movement is too fast
Have a look at the following image sequence, taken from my After Effects building destruction tutorial.
During the explosion, the cameraman dives for cover behind the concrete barrier and the camera’s movement is all over the place. Notice that the individual frames of the footage are extremely blurry and there are no features, no distinguishable shapes for the tracker to lock on to. Even if an accidental feature was found, the camera’s movement is so fast that the feature jumps around the screen, making it impossible for the 3D Camera Tracker to follow its movement.
If your footage includes very fast camera movement with blurry frames and undefined shapes, the 3D Camera Tracker will simply not be able to follow the movement of any features and therefore fail to analyse your footage. If it manages to analyse the footage and produce a cloud of 2D track points it might still fail to solve the camera if there are not enough 2D track points to infer the 3D camera movement from.
In this situation your only option is to re-shoot the scene or work around it. I ended up tracking the first half and the second half of my building destruction video separately because I could not track the middle part where the camera’s movement was too fast.
Moving Foreground Elements
Even if you footage is nice and crisp and there is no fast camera movement, elements in the foreground can interfere with its operation.
You will get the best results when you have no moving objects at all in your scene. That way the 3D Camera Tracker will not track the movement of any moving objects in your scene thinking that they are fixed features. If you have a scene with a large moving foreground element, it can easily invalidate your tracking data. Here is a screenshot of my fireworks tutorial:
The 3D Camera Tracker will pick up my movement and think it’s tracking the movement of a static element in your scene, a feature. To avoid this happening, you have to first mask out any large moving foreground elements to remove them from your footage.
Then pre-compose the layer including the masks and apply the 3D Camera Tracker to the resulting layer.
This way you are giving the tracker only the static geometry of your scene to track and it is much more likely to give you a good track.
But alas, even if all goes well with the tracking, there are yet more problems that you might encounter!
No Depth Information from a Tripod Pan Solve
‘No depth from a tripod pan solve’ shows up at the bottom of the target icon and the icon sits flat on your footage. You may also notice that all of your track points are the same size, indicating they are all equal distance from the camera. What is going on?
When you walk along the street you may notice that static objects at different distances seem to be moving at different speeds. The further they are away, the slower they seem to move. The closer they are, the faster they seem to move. This is called the parallaxing effect.
The 3D Camera Tracker uses this effect as a basis to figure out how far object are from one another in your 2 dimensional footage layer. However, if the camera does not move around the scene very much, e.g. it is mainly a panning movement, the tracker cannot derive any depth information because there are no parallaxing objects in your shot.
In those cases, the 3D Camera Tracker might determine that it is a panning shot and not give you any depth information with the warning ‘No depth from a tripod pan solve’.
But that isn’t a reason to panic as this warning is usually not a problem. Why?
Because the camera does not move around within the depth of the scene, you can attach objects to the ‘flat’ track points or use the 2D motion tracker I demonstrated in this Adobe After Effects tutorial to link other layers to your camera’s movement and it will almost always work just as good.
So don’t freak out when you see this warning, it’s simply telling you your scene does not contain any depth information – and for most tracking scenarios it won’t have to.
Finally, let’s look at some properly tracked footage and what you can do with it. And even here, there might be a few common problems that are worth exploring.
Correctly Tracked Scene
Here is a screenshot of a properly 3D tracked clip from my tutorial on how to blow up a motorcycle in Adobe After Effects.
Note that the track points are of different sizes, indicating that the 3D Camera Tracker was able to derive depth information from the scene and correctly place the track points at different distances from the camera. The smaller a track point appears, the further away it is from the camera.
With a properly tracked clip, you can place other elements into the 3D space of your scene and they will follow the camera’s movement as expected.
All you have to do is select the tracked layer, select the 3D Camera Tracker effect and hover your mouse over the scene. A red target marker will appear and it will be placed on a ‘flat’ surface in your 3D scene.
You can select a number of track points that define a plane in 3D space or select a single track point, right click and create different elements and an actual After Effects Camera.
This allows you to place Null markers, Solids or Text elements in your scene. Note that the creation of the camera is necessary (and therefore a part of any of the above options) to ensure that the 3D layers in your composition align with the movement of the camera you used to film the scene.
Here is a screenshot of some text I placed in the middle of the street. Remember to enable motion blur on the layer and the composition so that the placed element blends in more naturally when the camera is moving.
Cannot solve for this frame
Even if the analysis and solve phase was successful, you may encounter a few frames that give you the following error message:
If you look at the actual frame you will see that it is rather blurry and there are very few features for the 3D Camera Tracker to latch on to. Again, this is hard to fix afterwards, but can be avoided if you plan out how to shoot your footage.
I hope this tutorial gave you a solid overview of the 3D Camera Tracker in Adobe After Effects and showed you how to resolve some of the common problems that you may encounter when tracking your footage.

I want to 3d track my footage using dynamic link with Premiere, Both version 2019!
I have encountered this issue for serval attemps, it keeps initializing for ever, and then AE says 'timed out obtaining dynamic link" is this a but that comes with version 2019? If so, how can i downgrade to older versions and still run my project?
Any help would be appreciated.

Sorry for your issue! I understand that you are not able to use the 3D Camera Tracker as it stalls while initializing.
A few other people have reported this issue and we're investigating it.
Do you experience the same behavior in a standalone After Effects project (not using dynamic link from Premiere Pro)?
Try these steps:
- Quit all Adobe apps
- Go to Finder, press Command+Shift+G , type ~/Library/Preferences/Adobe/After Effects and click Go
- Rename the 16.0 folder to OLD_16.0
- Then launch After Effects and try again
Let us know if this helps.

still the same issue . and it is may 2019 now . what has been done by adobe to fix this , reported by so many users in different threads ?
either initializing forever, or "unable to aquire rendered frame ". asked so often. never got any helpfull answer or solution

Start by eliminating the obvious. If the footage is shot on a phone, it almost certainly won't work. Phones shoot at variable frame rates, which is very bad. Either transcode the footage to a fixed frame rate or reshoot it.

sorry that I did not introduce myself.
im not a consumer playing around with mobiles and and playing with software for semis .
as all the other ones, complaining about this and other issues since more than a year now, we are using real cameras , in this case a 360 cam, we know what codec and framerate to use, in this case it is either prores 422HQ or DNxHR-Hq with 25p or 30p.
So ,transcoding unnecessary.
and as so many others in so many different threads , we are experiencing this issue since the software was broken with the release of the april 2018 edition.
. I really apreciate any helpfull and valuable help.
What do you mean by " reshoot it ! .
Every clip from nearly every cam and shooting is affected. but works in ae14 till 15.0.1.
if adobe can't handle and fix it. reshoot it . I'll give this advice to our production managers and the management.

- 3D Camera Tracker Not Showing Points

Complete novice here.
I have a short 7sec clip that I'm trying to use the 3D Camera Tracker on. It's a clip downloaded directly from an online AE class specifically for practicing 3D Camera Tracking, so it should work - the teacher uses it in the class.
When I click track camera, it analyzes and solves the camera. No errors show up. But no track points appear either. When I switch 'Show Track Points' from 3D Solved to 2D Source, then they show up. But when I switch back, nothing. Show Layer Controls is enabled. The Fx symbol is on in the little box by the effect name. I tried switching project settings from Mercury Software Only to Mercury GPU Acceleration (Metal) and back. Nothing.
I'm using a 2020 Macbook Pro with:
1.4 GHz Quad-Core Intel Core i5 Processor
16 GB 2133 MHz LPDDR3 Memory
Intel Iris Plus Graphics 645 1536 MB Graphics
I've searched on all the relevant threads already posted on here and nothing seems to work. Screenshot attached below.

Embedding your screenshots with the menu bar on the forum makes it a lot easier for us to see your problem.
I can see your layer controls so the View options for the comp panel are correct.
Start by changing the Show Track Points option. If they show up then click Detailed analysis and analyze the shot again. If you still can't see the track points try increasing the track point size.
I think that I have seen this footage before and that it requires both increasing the track point size and detailed analysis to get a good camera solution. If possible, post a link to the footage so I can take a look.
The advice I just gave assumes that your version of AE is up to date.

That is the shot I have seen before. It's a terrible shot for camera tracking. If you are on the first frame and you set Show Track Points to 2D Source and you set Track Point Size to 300% you should see something like this (note - I am using the Motion Tracking workspace):
If the Track Point Size is set to 100% the points are so small they are hard to see. Change Show Track Points to 3D solved and you won't see any track points at all, even though the Average Error is only 1.54 pixels. You can't see the points because the shot can't be solved for the first few frames. Most of the time you will get an error message telling you that the camera cannot be solved.
If you move down the timeline about 3 seconds some tracking markers start showing up and you should be able to grab a few and set an origin and ground plane, then add a camera and a solid on this frame. You should also set a layer marker so you know where the origin and ground plane is at 0, 0, 0.
So I set the origin and ground plane, then add a camera and a solid using the same points and same target. Remember how I said the origin and ground plane should be at 0, 0, 0. Look at what you get:
This tells me that the camera solve is no good. I suspected that because the first two or three seconds of the shot is a crazy terrible Tripod Pan. Only after about 3 seconds does the shot turn into something that can possibly ave some depth information. Scrubbing through the shot confirms that the solid will not stick to the ground.
From the marker forward the solid sticks pretty well.
You have two options here. Split the layer at the marker and treat the first about few seconds as a camera pan and the second as a normal track, or just ignore the first few seconds. Here's what that looks like. The first part of the shot as a tripod pan:
The second part of the shot analyzed again and a new marker set, a new Origin and Ground Plane set, and a reference solid and a camera added. Note the position property of the reference solid is at 0, 0, 0. That's the first indication of a good camera solution.
The solid is not going to line up with the first part of the shot, and you'll need to add a camera and a solid to the first part of the shot, but there will be no depth information. Maybe if you overlapped a frame you could somehow line up a second solid with the Tripod Pan camera so you could cut between the shots, but it's not likely that it will be easy to do or completely seamless.
Unless the tutorial that goes with this footage explains why the shot won't work for normal camera tracking or at least asks you why it won't and where camera tracking works, and unless this tutorial talks about setting an origin and ground plane and explains that the reference solid is at 0, 0, 0 (use a solid so you can see if it tracks to the surface), I would give the tutorial an F, delete it from your bookmarks, and look for a camera tracking tutorial prepared by somebody that knows what they are doing. Unfortunately, most of the tutorials you find using Google are prepared by enthusiasts that have discovered some kind of a recipe that kind of works with their specific shot. They are poorly explained and often the workflows are incredibly inefficient. This shot would confuse anyone that does not have a good understanding of the proper camera tracking workflow.
I'm saving a copy of this thread so I can point others to the solution. This is at least the third time that I have helped folks figure out how to track this same shot. It would help if you could post a link to the tutorial so I can give it a proper review.

ТЕМА: Analysis solve failed 3D Camera Tracker
