Bios part number is not correct
keyboard error or no keyboard present
detecting floppy drive A media.
INSERT SYSTEM DISK AND PRESS ENTER
Default presents
keyboard error or no keyboard present - Возникла ошибка при работы клавиатуры. Установи значение All, But keyboard для опции Halt On или ей подобной.
detecting floppy drive A media.
LOAD DEFAULTS. Y (yes). ENTER

I get this error when trying to update my BIOS (Intel H61, AMI BIOS, Ver.FH [upgrading from F.D]) using @BIOS
After searching for a good hour I cannot find any way to fix it. There's not that much information out there at all apart from a few Korean websites which are almost impossible to read, even with google translate.
This is the first upgrade in almost 3 years.
The motherboard is GA-H61M-S2PV (rev 2.0) and using the Update BIOS From Server and Update BIOS From File options give me the same error
Windows is version 10.0.10240 build 10240 and is a (legitimate) free upgrade from Windows 7
Any help would be appreciated

Not sure how to check other than entering my Mobo into the Gigabyte website and downloading what it tells me.
When I try and update via @BIOS, after scanning my motherboard and my current BIOS version, it suggests Intel H61, AMI BIOS, Ver.FH is the upgrade needed, and downloads it accordingly.
The only issue seems to be that @BIOS gives me the error in the title of the thread (The OEM ID is not correct!"
I haven't tried Q-flash yet, I am going to do it after this post.

Okay, thanks. I upgraded via q-Flash and it seems to have worked. My System Information now reads
BIOS Version/Date: American Megatrends INC. FId, 27/02/2014
Let's hope this works. The issue I'm having is I was gifted a new MSI GeForce GTX 750ti 2GB (factory sealed) and when I tried to install it, it would hang on the American Megatrends Inc boot screen for around a minute, and then take me to a black screen with a flashing underscore. I have tried pretty much everything apart from updating a 3 year old BIOS.
Both card and motherboard are compatible. Power supply is a brand new Corsair 550w so more than enough for the combination.
Only thing I can think of if this doesn't work is that whoever build my PC (Zoostorm UK? Something like that) have placed blocks on the MOBO so I cannot upgrade.
My only issue with the above statement (which I have heard about HP computers in particular) is that I have been able to upgrade mine in the past. I went from onboard graphics to a Radeon card a few years ago without any issues.

Ok So this has been driving me nuts all day,
I am trying to update the BIOS for my mobo which is
GA-Z77-D3H (rev 1.0)
I am 100% sure of the model and revision , I can see them printed on the mobo. According to system info the current version is:
BIOS Version/Date American Megatrends Inc. F5, 09/03/2012
I am trying to update it to F18 using:
But when I try using the q-flash utillity I just get "Bios ID Check Error" back. This is so frustrating, any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for the reply,
I tried using the @BIOS utility to install the BIOS File I had already downloaded (F18) and got the same error as before. I told it to carry on and update anyway but system wouldn't boot so I restored it to the original BIOS and tried the "update from Gigabyte Server" option. For some reason the most recent version it could find was F9, when I tried to upgrade to that I got a warning: "This is not a regular file name" I ignored it and upgraded anyway and again it wouldn't boot.
Thanks again for getting back to me, any other suggestions would be appreciated. I'm totally stumped.

I've now managed to update to F9. I got the same boot error as before
"'Remove disks or other media. Press any key to restart"
So I entered the BIOS and looked at the boot options. For some reason my internal SSD was showing up as a flash drive and was not a boot option, I set this to boot first and the system seems fine. Curiously I still can't upgrade to F18 as the Gigabyte servers only have F9 and the BIOS files I used before now just give the error "BIOS Partnumber is not correct" with no option to override.

Oh Dear. This is deeply embarrassing!
Turns out my mobo is the z77x. At least everything makes sense now I know it was just me being a numpty.
Thanks again for your help abekl

I was trying to update my gigabyte motherboard and failed with the same issue: when choosing file in Q-Flash, it always said "BIOS ID check error". Also I tried to make update via dos, by launching autoexec.bat, which then calls for EfiFlash.exe. And it gave me the following:
GIGABYTE SPI Flash BIOS Update Utility v0.65
Checking BIOS Information.
Flash Type : MXIC 25L/U Series
Loading BIOS image : B150MD3H.F64
. BIOS ID Mismatch .
So for anybody who will step the same rake: check that you are using corresponding product again. Hope helped somebody.
