Bios is updating led firmware asus что это
hello guys, i'm in trouble with my crosshair vii.
the problems start with some bad shutdown after turning off windows. motherboard don't shutdown.
few days later when i turn on the pc i have this message "bios is updating led firmware, do not shutdown. ", since i trried everything. Flash new bios 0702. clear cmos. remove bios battery. flashback recovery with bios 0207 and the other bios. nothing work.
i can boot to windows if i wait enough (1h) but if i reboot or turn off again the "bios is updating led firmware"
Maybe bios is corrupted? any idea?
(sorry for my bad english)
edit : my setup, windows 10 64 bit, 2700x, 16Go gskill
i) Reference below image, when on UEFI 0702 are your version numbers same?
ii) Do you use AURA/any other RGB SW?
x470 Crosshair Hero (WIFI) Same issue LED Firmware Update Boot delay
Same problem.
BIOS is updating LED firmware. Do not shut down or reset the system to prevent system bootup failure.
After 30 to 40 minutes System Boots.
Reinstalled latest Aura Lighting Software no change ;-(
Have reported issue to ASUS support so far no response.
Reflashed BIOS no change..
Will add an image BIOS and LED info once I able to boot BIOS. what a pain..
This there a method similar the aura_update_v01_c6h LED FW flash tool for the X470 C7H LED FW?
LED EC1 Version is Blank.
Now have done a clean install of Windows 10 Pro Version 1809
Allow ASUS Grid to update drivers Version 1.05.35
AURA Now launch with the following error
Attachment 76386
Reflashed BIOS
Clean Install of Windows 10 Pro
Installed Drivers and AURA software from ASUS Grid
No Joy.
Attachment 76392
Attachment 76393
On Power up or reboot

If I was in your shoes I'd flash a very old UEFI using flashback. As this would contain older versions of ASUS EC/LED firmware, it should instigate a reflash of each; then I would flash to latest UEFI, again using flashback.
Had this all the time oc ram, had to turn PSU off and up the ram voltage and basically get stable.
Can someone with this error run this tool (cmd or power shell as administrator), save their firmware and send it to me for debug?
aura82_update.exe -s myfw.bin
Note: This is not any official procedure and is done at your own risk

No joy. ;-( LED EC2 Version Blank.
My System still works fine once booted but No AURA Lighting Effects and takes 30 minutes to boot.
I'm going to arrange an RMA return to ASUS via my supplier. This is a pain as I live in a Regional area and the store I purchased the Motherboard is a fair distance away so if I wish to return the Motherboard I will need to take a whole day off to do so. I could arrange a courier or postal return but this will take several days. I'm also not happy about having to teardown my system to remove the Motherboard. Was updating to 1001 BIOS a big mistake. YES
Have now tried to downgrade BIOS to 0801 but no joy at all, the damage has been done. Also have tried the latest beta BIOS as a last ditch attempt.. ;-(

Have checked hardware all connectors appear okay. No issues before BIOS 1001 Update.
I continue to be plagued by this problem of a 30 minute wait to re-boot while the "LED firmware updating" message is displayed.
I disabled the Aura lights in the BIOS on the mobo since I am not interested in them. It occurred to me that perhaps I must have them enabled for the never ending firmware update to complete. However, it's a Catch-22 since I am never given an opportunity to access the BIOS via the "delete" key. One can't access the BIOS while this firmware update is running (or waiting, or whatever it is doing). After 30 minutes the mobo finally continues and boots the operating system.
Can someone suggest a way I can break into this cycle and access the BIOS? Perhaps by enabling the Aura lights, the firmware update will complete and I can rid myself of this annoying problem.

since a few days ago, whenever I start my PC the text "BIOS is updating LED firmware. Do not shut down or reset the system to prevent system bootup failture" appears.
It stays there for about 40 minutes and then the PC starts normally and it happens whenever I start or restart my PC.
I have not found a solution for this on the internet, so maybe somone here knows a solution.
I have a ASUS Prime X470-Pro motherboard if that helps.
EDIT: REALLY late reply, but since I've got a lot of messages about how I solved it here is what happened but I don't really think it'll help. I had an RGB/LEDstripe inside my PC connected to my mainboard for visual reasons. After I disconnected it everything worked like normal.
I have asus b450 F and this message just popped up out of nowhere. I havent done anything with bios. It just randomly started happening. If theres a solution please reply.
I have same issue.. bios ( 5406 ) update didn't help at all.. So there is kind of workaround . that the great ( N O T . ) ASUS mainboard does not forces you to wait over 45 Minutes everytime you start your PC ( and real real getting mad with ASUS ) .. you have to unplugg all your USB device and start the PC. than you don't have to wait but the problem still remains the next boot with all usb connect !
How old is your motherboard, what BIOS version do you have? Did you update the BIOS or change anything (in BIOS or in the system)?
I have the same motherboard, good to know that it can happen.. I would be very dissatisfied if it would just start to happen one day without reason
about 1 year old vers. 5220 i just tried to update the bios manually
Hi Zitroone. Thank you for bringing this to our attention and we're very sorry for the inconvenience this issue has caused. We'll be more than happy to assist. Since the issue has started, please confirm the troubleshooting options taken? Please confirm if the BIOS update was successful on your previous attempt? We suggest resetting your CMOS and also reinstalling the previous BIOS version should the issue persist.
Thank you for your reply.
So what I did was trying to manually update the BIOS again to try getting it to work.
I tried it with EZ Flash 3 one time via the internet and one time via a downloaded version of the BIOS from your website.
Both times it did not work.
So i believe no, the BIOS update was not successful on my previous attempts.
I do not really know what resetting my CMOS is, but after googling I found out it means removing the mb battery from your mb and putting it back to reset your BIOS settings.
Is it save to do that for the mb? Or could the mb break even more? I honestly do not want to buy another one.
And after I would to that I could install an older version of the BIOS how? Like where could I find that and also what is the older version?
Windows Update MiniTool:
(Morgan Gangwere).
Asus LiveUpdate
