My computer runs an up to date Win10 64bit, every time It starts up i need to go to the bluetooth settings to see that it is turned off. The only fix is going into the troubleshooter and having it reinstalled, then restart the computer. This happens any time the computer is shut down. I tried changing the driver to "Generic blutooth adapter" under the "update drivers" tab in device manager. It works well as that, but the next time I shut the computer down the blutooth icon says either "Driver error" in which case it will update back to ASUS' driver. Or it will say "set up incomplete please restart" in which afterwards it will feature the driver error.
Any idea what's going wrong? I've tried other bluetooth adapters to no avail. My motherboard is an ASRock B550 pro4 if that helps
Yeah, having a similar issue. Not sure how to fix it. Also, when it was working, if I connected/disconnected my game controller while headphones were connected, it broke the headphone connection/quality also.
Also having trouble with other Bluetooth adapters. I have a ASUS Prime B450M-A motherboard.
Did you also have issues with the drivers for the bluetooth adapter on the Asus website? Those were even worse for me (somehow haha). I'll probably just return this adapter and not use Bluetooth anymore. Too many issues.
Same issue here. using an ASUS USB-BT500 dongle. I also tried a Techkey dongle, but then realized they are both using the same Realtek chips.
Same here, I'm considering downgrading to the bt400 which apparently doesn't have these problems.
I just ordered a wifi bluetooth card that's supposed to work with the b550 so when I get it I'll update you on whether or not it worked.
Asus wasnt even able to help me with this blutooth
Have same issue. Are there any ways to solve this?
Havent found anything yet sorry
Late, but also me too. I bought this back in February this year. The ASUS BT500 gets inserted into a USB port just for me to get an ASUS DRIVER ERROR (on two different devices). I've tried uninstalling, reinstalling, and updating the driver. Nothing works. So I've contacted ASUS because this is ridiculous. I get an error code 10 - access denied - and that a certain object doesn't not have permission to do whatever. But like wtf do you do? Idk, I feel like I've tried every fix and nothing seems to change. Maybe it's a hardware issue.
I ended up getting an intel blutooth and wifi M.2 card and still have the same issue but it works some times. I get error code 10 as well.
Almost the same issue here. I'm getting error 0x15 for driver oem74.inf and it always says "driver error" in the windows settings and switches between error and normal in the device manager, I don't have any other bluetooth drivers and no in-built bluetooth in my motherboard, win10.
Adapter connects the earbuds I'm using (razer hammerhead tws pro) and they work just fine (no quality/disconnect issues). I'm still digging this problem if I find some info I'll update my post.
UPD. Managed to fix the issue: for some reason I had "Intel Wireless Bluetooth something" installed, but it literally never appearead neither in device manager or applications manager. I manually found the folder and uninstalled the driver. The error is gone, atleast for now. I think this thing was installed along the wifi/ethernet/etc driver package.
I recently got an ASUS USB-BT500 USB Bluetooth adapter for use with my machine.
I can't figure out if this adapter just isn't supported or if I'm doing anything wrong here.
It seems to show up correctly when I plug it in
Bluetooth service starts ok
Unknown adapter warning when starting bluetooth service
Pairing attempt, I seem to be able to scan and find my headphones
Some errors showing up in logs
Is this adapter not supported or I'm I missing anything or doing anything wrong?
I recently bought one of these BT500 dongles to use with a JBL Charge 4. I had lots of issues getting bluetooth to work, sometimes it would work well but only when extremely close to the dongle. Sometimes it would refuse to work at all, and sometimes it would just play music and cut out at seemingly random intervals.
If like me you are using Linux and questioning why you make your life more difficult than it needs to be, I'm here to help!
First of all, these devices use the Realtek 8761BU chipset, take a look at the btrtl Linux kernel driver and you will see that there is support for the 8761B but not the 8761BU.
What is happening is that the the bluetooth kernel modules are being loaded, but they don't work too well right now. I have no idea how to submit patches to the kernel, but may eventually work out how. Anyway, on to the fix!
You need to start by blacklisting all bluetooth kernel modules that conflict with this device.
add the following to /etc/modprobe.d/bluetooth-blacklist.conf (or whateveryouwant.conf)
Extract the tarballs, and install both the drivers AND the firmware. I'm not gonna hold your hand on this, you can read the Readme.txt and work it out.
Reboot. (yea, we know you can use rmmod / modprobe -r . do that if you want)
If all went Your BT500 should work like a dream.
Before using the Realtek driver, my speaker barely worked 1ft away from the module, now it sounds fantastic even in other rooms of the house!
I recently purchased Dualsense controller to be used with my PC. Now I found out that for some reason( a bug?) controller seems to disconnect time to time and will only wake up when touchpad on dualsense controller is pressed on.
Controller will wake up and reconnect as soon as the touchscreen is pressed on. Is this a bug in DS4Windows? Eventviewer on Windows 10 does not show any tracer in log files regarding this disconnect.
Disconnect your controller
Fully stop and close DS4Windows
Reconnect the controller
Test if the issue happens again
Do not re-open DS4Windows while testing
Make sure DS4Windows is not running when the controller is connected
If the issue happens again under these conditions then it's not a DS4Windows issue. It's either your controller itself (maybe you need to update its firmware while it's connected to a PS5) or your BT dongle somehow? Maybe you are using windows' generic BT drivers and it requires specific drivers from asus
Im playin on exacly the same setup. Propably arround 100h+ h played on Dualsence on PC
And i didn't experience behaviour like this, unless battery was very low.
Steam can fuck over with Gamepad driver even if all gamepad features are disabled there.
First of all try to switch Usb dongle slot(i've expierienced some latency and weird behaviour if it was plugged in usb 3.1. Try reinstalling the driver or even get rid of it - For the most part Windows does decent job with their bundled drivers. OR try swapping for a new usb/pci bluetooth dongle.
Ever heard of Reinstalling? it's a option. (there is possibility of registry corruption but it 200x times faster to reinstall system than find the incorrect entry).
Also Windows introdues some "battery saver" features by default. Try to play with those (Setting power plan to high performance and disabling battery saving features on gamepad's HID).
If any of those doesn't help this might have to do with your hardware. Welp, you can always try to install Linux which has official support for DualSense and see there.
